Structure

The Chair is elected by the AGM for a period of two years. The remaining Trustees are elected annually. From these, the Chair appoints a Deputy, Secretary and a Treasurer. Acting as the representatives for Polish immigrants, the Federation has links to many other organisations, not just its members.

Objectives

Diversity, citizenship and community development by promoting a better understanding within British society of the Polish community and of its culture and heritage.

Education by promoting the learning of the Polish language.

Polish culture, literature, art, music, history, heritage and traditions by organizing events.

Relief in need of members of the Polish community by the provision of advice, support and information or in any other way required and by engaging with service providers, public bodies, institutions and organisations to enable those entities to better adapt their services, policies and activities to the needs of the Polish community.

Social inclusion of members of the Polish community by developing the capacity and skills of members of that community to assist them to integrate with and participate more fully in society
